Hi Jeff, By creating a single article summary in a category index and using the "Hide category and article option", it is fairly easy to create a About Us page using Article Manager. This method works equally well on a Contact Us, Privacy Policy, or any other single page you want to create. I'm not sure if the MethodJournal.com is updating their About Us page http://www.methodjournal.com/artman/publish/AboutUs.shtml with Article Manager but the good news is you can have the same effect using Article Manager. There are two ways to do this. One involves hardcoding the category links and the other option makes use of the hide category and articles option in the Category Editor which I will detail the steps. Here are the steps using the Category Editor: (I will use an "About Us" page as an example) 1. In the Category Editor, click the Create New button. 2. In the category name field I will call the category "About Us". 3. Check the the Hide category and articles box. This way the category won't automatically display in the category list or the search engine drop down list. 4. In the Category Filename section, click the radio for Use filename and enter "AboutUs" for the filename. Click save. Optional: At the bottom of this page you have the option to choose from any additional templates you have customized and placed in the templates directory. You might consider modifying a template and removing the publish date, time and author publish tags. Then saving it as aboutus_template.html so you can easily recognize it and choose it from within the category editor. 5. Create a new article by clicking Create Article. For the article title enter About Us. Next choose the About Us category. With a visible status. For article type choose Summary Only. This way there will be no link to a full article page. Enter all the content you want to display on the About Us page in the Summary text area. Click save and your done. You should now have an About Us page that you can easily update through Article Manager. The final step is to add a link on your site for visitors to link to your About Us page. Example: http://www.yoursite.com/publish/AboutUs.shtml Two things to note about creating a hidden category and articles. Although the category (About Us) won't show up in the category list on any of the other pages, it will be on the About Us index page (plans to have this fixed in future upgrade). Also, because the category and articles within that category are not visible, they will not show up in search results using the built in Article Manager search engine. I hope these steps help. Let me know how it works out. --------------------------------------------------- Cheers Damon Edis interactivetools.com Hire me!
