Hi, Thanks for the post! I'll go through each of your points one at a time for you: >so I've checked the box on the general tab. Next I will check the box on the category page. Do I need to do this for each category and each sub cat? (i have dozens of total categories). If you would like each separate category to publish to it's own folder then yes, you would want to go into each category and tell it where to publish to. While you will need to go through all of your categories, it's only something you'll need to do once so it's not going to be a recurring change you'll need to make often. > On the category setup page do i modify the articles directory / url, the publish directory / url or both? The important change to make in the Category Editor will be to modify "Articles Dir" and "Articles URL" to point to the specific directory for your category. For example, for your London Hotels category you would point to /europe/england/london/hotels/. The "Publish Dir" and "Publish URL" in the Setup Options you would set up for the default publish directory. This means that any category that doesn't have it's own directory and for all of the category index pages, category lists, etc. > also: am I not allowed to ever name to articles the same filename? (index for example). While you're not able to name any articles or index pages the same you actually should be able to publish all of your category index pages as "index.shtml" in their appropriate folder. To do this, you'll just want to head to the Category Editor and click "modify" for your categories. You'll want to find the "Category Filename" option and modify it to use the "Use Filename" setting. For the index page, Article Manager publishes to the folder you have in the Setup Options for "Publish Dir". The reason you can't have an index.shtml is because in this folder Article Manager is already publishing an index file(this will be the index of all of your Article Manager content). To have your index.shtml published to the same folder as your article content you'll just want to put a relative path in the filename textbox that would look something like this: ../../europe/england/london/hotels/index This path should be relative to whatever is set in the Setup Options for "Publish Dir". Give this a try and let me know how it works out for you. If you have any other questions or comments, just let me know!
