.js syndicate overrides a:hover Can't Post
Is there a way to edit the .js syndicate template so that a mouse-over (a:hover) is allowed to change the font color the syndicate script sets for the link? Or a way to embed that into the javascript that's placed inside of the page where the syndicate ultimately gets placed? Don't necessarily need to alter the syndicate script so folks can set this themselves. Just like it to not override the CSS. Thanks!

A little more analysis of this reveals that it's the font tag within the syndicate .js file that's generated that's the cause of this. It overrides the CSS. If I remove that call from the master .js file that generates the file syndicate_0.js and those for other categories, this fixes the problem. However, predictably, that causes problems for a lot of other sites that are pulling in my feed that have assigned a font color. Unless there's a way to get around this then, appears an alternative might be to get the program to write a duplicate .js file minus that font tag. Maybe I'll figure this out on my own and my musings here will be forever recorded for other users.

Article Manager isn't going to be able to publish multiple copies of the syndicate files so having the font tag in the code will essentially need to be done on a site by site basis depending on whether you'd like the syndicate JavaScript file to define the font of the link or the stylesheet of the site.

One thing I'm a bit curious about is what you were hoping for when you remove the font tag. The idea with the font tag as that users can set up this font to match the color scheme and design that they have on their current site.

The font tag is certainly the best idea as for most sites it's exactly what is needed. Didn't mean to appear critical in my post above by may have (mistake!). I had one site owner pulling in the syndicate and he wanted to change the mouse-over color of the text link itself. In CSS I was able to change the background color and the text decoration, but not the color of the font on mouse-over as that's embedded. So, removing that call from the .js would do the trick, only problem is it would mess up a majority of the other sites using the same file. Bad idea. At this point I'm leaving it as is. Thanks for the response.
