goforum 1.09 Beta release Can't Post

Hey guys,

We just released goforum version 1.09 in Beta. You can download it here:
http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/forum.cgi?post=13662

This new version supports two new boards: yabbse and phpbb (and it has some other neat new options... read the changelog :-)

Hey Pat,

I'm not terribly familiar with UBB 5 or 6, to be honest - is there a free version or do you have to pay for it? If I can gain access to a board to do some testing, I'll try and piece something together to make it compatible with version 6. Did you say you were running 6.3 or something?

Ben, my board is at qdice.com (I have translated it into spanish)

Yes you have to pay for it. Is UBBClassic 6.3 but here are ONLY a couple of the .cgi's -for test only purposes- where I think you shoul be able to get more info... I appreciate any ideas you may have.

Hmmm... would it be possible for you to email or Private Message me with a username / password for the forum?

I can't promise anything but I'll try to find time to fix something up for you this week :-)

In Reply To
We just released goforum version 1.09 in Beta.

Hi Ben, this seems to work well on Article Manager 1.3, but a couple of observations ...

1. I have used specific filenames instead of default article numbers for some articles, and the the script appears to miss off the .shtml suffix in the 'View this Article' link in the forum.

2. I have published some articles to custom directories, but in this case, the URL does not hyperlink. It shows up as [URL=http://www.baillie.org.uk/extranet/dundee/article_1.shtml]View full article

Any clues as to what I can do to correct both of these?

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the info. Which bulletin board are you using?

I'll do some testing locally and get back to you - but neither of the problems you mentioned should be happening (of course! :-).

Re: [JonBolton] goforum 1.09 Beta release [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi again, Jon -

I just tried these out, and came up blank (I tested with YABBSE). But it's entirely possible that the problems are particular to your installation of goforum, and the board you are using. Rather than go back and forth, it might just be easiest if I could take a look at the problem directly. Would you mind filling in a support request, so I could see it first hand?

Thanks, Jon.
