add-ons added to application Can't Post

AM hase become a grown up application. Every time I install one I have to look at all the add-ons I used previously and search the IT site again.

Is it possible to ad all add-ons standard to the AM application zip in a different directory that way I all way’s have the latest versions of the add-ons also a admin directory with all the admin related scripts and add-ons.

Idea?

Hi Maurice,

Thanks for posting Smile

That's a great idea. What I have done is added this idea to our list of feature requests. Hopefully future versions of
Article Manager will support this feature, as I could see how it would defiantly save time.

If you have any additional questions or suggestions please feel free to let me know Smile

Maurice,

Always great to hear from you.

I don't think we'll include add-ons in the Article Manager download for a couple reasons: there's the implication of forward compatibility (some add-ons may not be supported by future versions), and the confusion caused by additional folders and files. In the long term, some add-ons will make their way into the product itself.

However, I could see it definitely of value to have the add-ons compiled into a single download. Or perhaps two zips, one with the primary add-ons like goforum and pagebreak, and another for the javascript features that Ben whips up.

(For the reference of other users on this thread, you find information on goforum and pagebreak in the add-on page at http://www.interactivetools.com/products/articlemanager/addons.html, and Ben's javascript add-ons can be found at this thread: http://www.interactivetools.com/iforum/Products_C2/Article_Manager_Add-ons_F15/Useful_JavaScripts_P10300/)

Hey Maurice,

I just released a first version of the hitcounter script - you can download it from this post:

Now for a "rate this article" script...! :-)
