Where to find the AM add-ons? Can't Post

I'm seeing talk about add-ons, but haven't been able to find any information about them or what they do on the site. Does anyone have a link where I can find them?

Hi elderban!

We have some free, unsupported add-ons available for Article Manager that we're happy to send out to anyone who asks.

If you would like to try out an add-on, please email support@interactivetools.com and let us know which one you would like, and we'd be happy to send it out to you. :)

Hi elderban!

Thanks for your post. :)

We currently have two add-ons available for Article Manager. They are:

GoForum: This is a script that works with third party forum software to add a "discuss this story" link to your Article Manager Articles that will either create or link to a discussion in your forum software.

PageBreak: This script uses javascript to split up long articles into multiple pages.

Because these are unsupported add-ons, we generally don't advocate using them unless you have a specific use in mind that can be achieved with one of our add-ons. They are not being developed further at the moment, and while they work with current versions, they're not guaranteed to be forward compatible with future version of Article Manager.

GoForum in particular can be a little tricky to setup, however we offer an installation service where we will install add-on scripts for $49. You can order add-on installations on our order page here:

https://www.interactivetools.com/order/

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. :)

Thanks for the quick reply! I would defenitely be interested in the GoForums addon as forums are an integral part of the site. Why aren't they bring developed any further?

Hi elderban,

Thanks for your post.

We've decided to focus our attention on features that are available in the main Article Manager software rather than free add-ons that take away from the fantastic support we're able to offer.

Because GoForum supports so many different forums that are all making changes to their code -- as well as us making changes to our own code -- to continue to develop GoForum to our standards would have us spending all of our time on GoForum, and no time on any of our paid software... which doesn't bode well for any business. :)

If you would like us to send GoForum to you, please email support@interactivetools.com and we'd be happy to send that over. :)

Thanks for the info! Perhaps it will be part of 2.0?

Hi elderban. :)

It's definitely possible. I can't say what features are coming out with future versions, however... you'll just have to wait and see! :)
