Related Articles problem Can't Post
Hi, hopefully someone can help me!

I've got a problem with the "related articles" code (<!--#include virtual="/ArtMan url/search.cgi?template=search/related_articles.html&perpage=5&keyword=$art_field19$&start=1" -->)

Even though I use the same keywords for several articles the articles only show one related article - the same one. Look at these two examples:
http://www.lhs.se/comenius/article_35.html
http://www.lhs.se/comenius/article_4.html

Both articles are marked with the same keywords, but only one article is shown. What´s wrong??? Frown

Hello ivar

I just had a quick look at the source of both pages and noticed that they are not the same.

Key words for article_35.html are:
"ITiS,IT i Skolan,Meral Akgun,Per Forsell,LearnLoop,"

wherase ketwords for article_4.html are:
"syv, Susanne Ljung, Ingela Bergmo-Prvulovic, distans, LearnLoop, Else-Maj Falk, Nätuniversitet"

So both articles do not have the Exact Same Keywords, and thats why they do not show as related.

Hi there and thanks for your answer!
It explains why the same article is listen every time.

In my question I should have written that the articles are marked with partially same keywords. Sorry about that. Blush

But it doesn't solve my problem, because the articles can't be marked with only one keyword. What I mean is that (more or less) every article is about a person, a place, a field of study, and so on. And that´s the kind of keywords I want to mark every article with.

Does anyone know how to solve this one? Maybe someone from the Interactive Tools staff?

The search function is Article Manager is very basic -- it treats the entire keyword field as a single string. So using multiple keywords will not do what you expect -- it will only return articles with the identical keyword list, which is usually the same article.

Article Manager 2 will have much better searching!
