AM web feeds Can't Post
I have questions regarding AM's web feed features -

I use htmlarea on my local portal page and would like to use AM's web feed feature from AM to appear on this local portal page. Does anyone know how I can manipulate the way the web feeds appear on the page?



I would like listings like those found in yahoo directories.



Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi jcolome

Thanks for posting.

Within the syndicate.cgi that you use to create your webfeed, there is an Advanced Menu where you can customize the look and feel of the webfeed that you create.

This gives you the ability to change the look of the Article Title, Article Date and Article Summary.

That should be what you are looking for but if I am off base just let me know and I'll try and find something else that can help you manipulate the way that the web feed appears on the page.

Thanks Cliff - I am aware of the advanced menu but what I really needed was a way to have the links/feeds display in a different format. on www.localmiamiguide.com there are several areas in the front page that are using htmlarea.

I have the option to place whatever in there so I was thinking of using AM to supply my front page of the portal site with fresh local news, ect.

I've played around with AM's web feed and I can only get it to display in one column.



I wanted the text to display in a format such as this:


Text one Text Two
Text three Text Four
Text Five Text six



I needed help with this since I do not know html or programming. I'm a marketing guy :-)

Any help would be great appreciated or maybe you can point me in the right direction.

Hi Juan,

Thanks for the additional deatils.

You could modify the /cgi-bin/artman/tempates/syndicate/syndicate.js template so that each news article is posted into a new column, but you will want to contact your webmaster or the person who has setup the templates on your Article Manager installation to help you out with that.

I've attached a sample template that I modified to emulate the effect that you are looking for. You may want to pass it on to them so they can upload it. While it may not be exactly what you are looking for it may get you closer to the effect that you want.
