Symptom 1
Warning: JavaScript not enabled!
This web application requires JavaScript. Please check to make sure JavaScript
is enabled in your browser and try again.
Cause
This error is usually caused by not having JavaScript enabled in your
browser. Quite often people choose to surf the web without having JavaScript
enabled.
Resolution
Depending on the browser you are using there are two resolutions;
Microsoft Internet Explorer : Select "Tools - Internet Options"
from Internet Explorer's menu bar. Select the "Security" tab from the
tab bar. On this page there should be a button titled "Custom Level..."
Click this button. Scroll down to where it says "Scripting." Select "Enable"
from the "Active Scripting" menu. JavaScript will now be enabled.
Netscape Navigator : Select "Edit - Preferences" from Netscape
Navigator's menu bar. Click on "Advanced" and check "Enable JavaScript"
JavaScript will now be enabled.

Symptom 2.
Warning: Cookies not enabled!
This web application requires cookies. Please check to make sure cookies
are enabled in your browser and try again.
Cause
This error is usually caused by not having Cookies enabled in your browser.
People sometimes turn cookies off in their web browser due to privacy
concerns.
Resolution
Depending on the browser you are using there are two resolutions;
Microsoft Internet Explorer : Select "Tools - Internet Options"
from Internet Explorer's menu bar. Select "Security" from the available
tab bars open. On this page there should be a button titled "Custom Level..."
Click this button. Scroll down to where it says "Cookies." Select "Enable"
from both the "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" and "Allow
per session cookies (not stored)" menu. Cookies will now be enabled.
Netscape Navigator : Select "Edit - Preferences" from Netscape
Navigator's menu bar. Click on "Advanced" and check "Accept all cookies"
Cookies will now be enabled.

Symptom 3.
Warning: Older browser detected!
This web application requires a version 4.0 or better web browser. Please
upgrade your browser and try again.
Cause
The web browser you are using is an outdated browser. Page Publisher only
operates on version 4.0 browsers or higher.
Resolution
You need to download and install a higher version browser. Visit Microsoft
to download the most recent version of Internet Explorer or visit Netscape
to download the most recent version of Netscape Navigator.

Symptom 4.
Warning: Directory not writable!
This web application needs to be able to create data files. Please ask
your server administrator to make the following directory writable: Directory
Name
Cause
This error is usually caused by not making the displayed directory (in
the error message) writable.
Resolution
Depending on the operating system you are using the solutions may vary:
For Unix, to make the directory writable user chmod to change the permissions
to 777. If you are not familiar with how to do this then contact your
Server Administrator and ask them to make the directory displayed in the
error message writable. For Windows NT, use the Windows NT control panel
to make the directory writable. If you do not have access to this or you
are not familiar with this contact you Server Administrator

Symptom 5.
Warning: File not writable!
This web application needs to be able to write to it's data files. Please
ask your server administrator to make the following file writable: Filename
Cause
This error is usually caused by not making the displayed file in the
error message writable.
Resolution
Contact your Server Administrator and ask them to make the file displayed
in the error message writable.

Symptom 6.
Warning: Persistent Filelock!
This web application uses temporary "file locks" to ensure that only one
user can update data at a time. The program was halted while in the middle
of writing data and the file lock will need to be removed manually to
avoid data corruption. Please ask your server administrator to remove
the following directory: Directory Name
Cause
This error is caused when the program is unexpectedly stopped while it
is writing data to a file.
Resolution
Contact your Server Administrator and ask them to delete the file displayed
in the error message.

Symptom 7.
Warning: Server too busy!
This error happens on Windows Servers when the permissions on the /data/ directory are not sufficient for Page Publisher to be able to write.
Cause
Insufficient file permissions.
Resolution
Make sure that your /data/ directory has full permissions for the user that Perl runs as. (Usually IUSR_SERVERNAME).

License Expired!
The license for this product has expired. Please contact interactivetools.com

Program Corrupted!
One or more of this programs files have been corrupted or modified. Please
re-install the program or contact interactivetools.com for assistance
at info@interactivetools.com
Cause
Your program has been corrupted due to internal problems with the software.
Resolution
Try re-installing your Page Publisher software in the same directory as
the previous one. Your data files should stay intact. If the problem continues
to re-occur contact Support and we'll handle and resolve the problem promptly.
