FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol". FTP programs allow you to transfer files back and forth between your computer and the computer that hosts your website.

Unzip Programs

When you receive the software in an email message it will be compressed in a "ZIP" format. The ZIP format allows you to store many files within a single ZIP file. Before you can install the software on your server you need to "unzip" the zip file.
