Published Files

One thing you'll notice quite quickly is that Article Manager 2 is publishing your files differently now. Each category now gets its own folder where all of its articles will be published. The name for each folder is based on your category name and all the article files are named based on their titles.

Another thing you'll notice is that any archives you had will have been rolled into your main article list. With MySQL being an option for storing your data, you'll be able to handle everything all in one big list. The archived articles will be published right along with the rest of your articles in the folder for the category they used to belong to.

If you ran the upgrade upgradeFromVersion1_41.cgi script, all your custom templates will have been imported to your new templates folder. The upgrade script is going to take the default.html templates from your old system and import those as the defaults for content in your new system. The rest of your tempaltes will be moved into the appropriate folders in your tempaltes folder. The template folder is structured differently though so check out the next section in Getting Started for a run down on what's happening with your templates.
