| Interface Templates
With Article Manager 1.2, we've released the templates for the program's control panel to be edited. This means that you can change most of everything you see when using the program. Since the interface templates are an integrated part of the program itself, modifying them improperly can cause Article Manager to return errors or operate inappropriately. For this reason, we don't support modifying the interface templates. We also can't realistically support copies of our software which have had their templates drastically altered. Please keep in mind that if you need to contact our technical support team, they will most likely want to revert your interface templates back to the default state before troubleshooting. When the situation is resolved, you can reinstate your customized interface. Also, it's likely that changes will be made to the interface templates between releases of the program. Although we take extra pains to make sure that your front-end templates will operate the same after upgrading, most program changes require the interface templates to be changed. If you have modified your templates and wish to upgrade, you'll need to make your modifications again to the new interface templates. Please note that some English phrases are generated from within the program files; these cannot be modified. This is an issue we will be addressing with the next major revision of Article Manager, which will include a Language editor to make translation a breeze. If you're upgrading from a version of Article Manager previous to 1.2, you will need to upload the now available interface templates directory and files, /templates/interface/, into your templates directory of your site and delete the interface.bin file in the /artman/bin/ directory. If the interface.bin file is not removed, changes you make to the interface templates will not take effect. |
